Friday Night at the Filling Station!!!
We've been working REALLY hard to get some great new songs together for this next show. If you were ever going to see a Drama Kids show see this one!

The video is finally here! This is my favorite track on the album. Please share this with your friends if you enjoy...
Ack!
I've been horrible about updating this blog lately. A bunch of fun things are happening this month:
1) Our first show at the Midtown Filling Station on Tuesday, May 17th. We're going to go on around 8pm so all you full-timers have no excuse! 2) Our next show at Bird's on Friday the 27th... 3) And I'm setting up my studio right now to shoot another video for "Driving Lights". This one will be interesting because I will be playing along with the backing tracks from the actual recording. I'm really excited about this one - it's my favorite track on the record and it works so well as an acoustic tune. More to come soon. Thanks to everyone that made our first show at Bird's such a success! We can't wait to do it again. The entire band has been doing an amazing job in rehearsals and we've got a couple of new tunes to add to the setlist. See you very soon, DPZ CD Release Show is booked!
A quick note to let everyone who comes by that we have a CD release show booked for March 19th at Bird's Aphrodesiac Oyster Shack. It's a great place to hang out and a very intimate setting so we're looking forward to it in a big way. Our new friend Chris Langley has joined us on drums and we couldn't be more excited. I think everyone in attendance is going to be very pleasantly surprised.
I'm still working on some new videos for the website... a "behind the scenes" look at the recording of Love and Fear, if you will. Look for those soon. It's been hard to cobble the time together to get them produced, but they are at the top of the list. Last but not least, I think we have settled on a "band name". After much tossing about of monikers, DPZ and the Drama Kids has struck a chord. Look for it on the huge billboard inside of Bird's. Until later, DPZ Presale is here!
I will be splashing my thoughts out on a page soon regarding the album, but for now, if you would like to get the CD first, go HERE and order! Merry Christmas!
Album Art is here...![]() A big thanks to Amanda Albert for putting this together for the album. She had the concept in mind and really ran with it in a wonderful way. I can't wait to see this in print. An update
I've been neglecting this site a little bit in favor of posting stuff on Facebook. Figured I should drop in to tidy up a little bit at least. Some good things are on the way:
a) The album has been sent off to a company called Sonopod for mastering. I was really excited with the sample mastering work they did so I'm really looking forward (and somewhat nervous) to hear the finished product. I now get why everyone stresses the importance of mastering. b) Next week I'm going to start creating short videos describing some of the background behind each song. There is no specific plan, but I feel like it would be interesting to hear about how some of the songs became what they are because they have ALL gone through major changes throughout the last year. Since I recorded everything here in the room I'm typing in, I'll be able to isolate various background tracks. And there are a lot of background tracks on this album. This it the kind of thing I wish my favorites bands would do. c) I've been practicing with some fine musicians in a new practice space here in town. It's just three of us but I hope to make that four or five in Novemeber. I'm really excited about putting together a live show and transforming these songs into something that works live. d) With the help of my compatriot Amanda Albert, I will soon have some cool album art to share with all. On a scale of 1-10 it's an awesome. And that is the good news for this Wednesday. Keep well and look for new stuffs coming soon. Gratzi. DPZ Soundcheck for Driving Lights
